Call for evidence on lining up virus response with 2050 green targets

The influential cross-party group of MPs wants to investigate whether the level of the Treasury's support should depend on the extent to which companies pollute

The Treasury Committee is collecting additional evidence on how the UK’s response to the coronavirus can be aligned with the government's net-zero carbon emission 2050 targets.

To gather this information, the influential cross-party group of MPs launched its inquiry on the decarbonisation of the UK’s economy and green finance strategy on 24 July.
