BT pension scheme's new chief executive confirmed

The £39bn BT Pension Scheme, the UK's largest, confirmed yesterday it has hired Eileen Haughey of the ICI Pension Fund to be its new chief executive, as Financial News first reported last week. Haughey has led the ICI fund's in-house office for about 18 months. She will join the BT fund in the summer, reporting to Paul Spencer, chairman of the scheme's trustees. Haughey said she considered herself "privileged" to lead "a high calibre team with strong plans for the future."
