Third-quarter profits at GFI, the Nasdaq-listed moneybroker, rose 38% to $10.8m (€9m) on higher brokerage transaction revenues and a strong performance in Asia, the company said last night.

Revenues at the firm rose 31% during the period to $130.7m.
