Vincent Bolloré, the French corporate raider, intends to continue buying shares in Havas but has ruled out launching a full bid for the advertising group in the near future.

In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, Bolloré said he had requested "several" seats on the board of Havas, in which he has built a stake of 10.4% since July.
