BNP Paribas has hired Jose Barrionuevo, a former adviser to the Mexican government, to head emerging markets credit research and also poached two traders from JPMorgan Chase.

The latest in a series of emerging market debt hires, Barrionuevo will work in New York specialising in Latin American markets and heading a global team of about 20 researchers.
