Blackstone has hired a former high-ranking Barclays Capital M&A executive, who was cited as a potential candidate for the top job at the Takeover Panel in May, as it looks to cement its newfound status as a top 20 advisory firm.

Jitesh Gadhia has joined Blackstone Advisory Partners as a senior managing director to the company.
