BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has created a new dedicated stewardship team for its active business as part of its ongoing push into private markets.

The $11.5tn money manager completed its acquisition of Global Infrastructure Partners at the start of October — a landmark deal that added more than $100bn of assets and will provide a boost to the revenue it generates via private market investments.
