BlackRock assets reach new high of $11.5tn

The US asset manager, which is making a push into private markets, pulled in more than $221bn of new money during the third quarter

BlackRock posted record flows in the latest quarter, helping push assets under management at the world’s largest fund group to a new high of $11.5tn.

According to its third-quarter results, published on 11 October, the New York-headquartered firm pulled in $221bn of net inflows between July and September, compared with just $2.6bn for the same period in 2023.
