Bear Stearns poaches Sillem from Lazard

Bear Stearns has poached Jeremy Sillem, a leading international veteran Lazard banker, in a bid to help grow its European investment banking business.

Sillem, managing director and co-head of capital markets, who is leaving after nearly 30 years at Lazard, is to oversee and direct the expansion of Bear Stearns' European investment business as chairman of Bears Stearns International.
