It was "inaccurate" to level allegations of fraud against financier Amanda Staveley during Barclays' 2008 emergency cash call.

The wrongful accusation was admitted in the High Court by David Forbes, the former director of Abu Dhabi government fund International Petroleum Investment Company, during evidence on 16 July. Forbes had accused Staveley of committing fraud by demanding £11m in reimbursement costs from IPIC.
