Barclays will have to pay out nearly £50,000 to a former analyst after an employment tribunal ruled the bank’s actions exacerbated her health conditions.

Anca Lacatus, an analyst for four years up to 2020, claimed that the bank failed to adjust her working hours despite her suffering from endometriosis — a disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus — and anxiety.
