Barclays lawyers dig into Staveley’s dealings with Middle Eastern investors

On the second day of Amanda Staveley’s testimony in her £1.5bn case against Barclays, the bank’s lawyers pressed her on the details of meetings and negotiations with Abu Dhabi and other investors.

Jeffery Onions QC, acting on behalf of the bank, quizzed Staveley in detail about her role in arranging Barclays' emergency cash call at the height of the financial crisis in 2008.
