Barclays has poached John Kolz from Royal Bank of Canada to be its co-head of global equity capital markets as the UK bank looks to bolster its presence on Wall Street.

Kolz will lead the business alongside Tom Swerling, with both reporting to Travis Barnes and Tom Johnson, global co-heads of capital markets, Barclays said in a statement. Swerling has led ECM at Barclays since 2023.
