Investment banks adopting strict return-to-office policies could see them backfire, as they struggle in the war for talent and to prevent heavy-hitters leaving, Deloitte research suggests.

Two thirds of 700 US finance executives surveyed by the Big Four firm said they would quit their current job if they were ordered to return to the office five days a week.
