Banks aim to exploit opportunities from new regulations

UK banks and corporates view new regulations such as Basel II and Sarbanes-Oxley as a catalyst for much-needed improvements to their business, according to a study by FileNet, the compliance technology specialist.

However, the study found that fewer than one in 20 firms is confident in their ability to address all new compliance requirements or to meet the deadlines imposed by regulators.
