Bankers are set to get their hands on their bonuses faster as regulators prepare to overhaul the Square Mile’s deferral and clawback rules.

Under rules introduced after the financial crisis, part of senior bankers’ remuneration is held back for up to eight years to ensure longer-term good behaviour.
