Francesca Lagerberg, the chief executive of top 10 accounting network Baker Tilly International, spends “an awful lot of time running for planes”.

She travels to “pretty much every part of the world” to catch up with its 140 member firms. Since stepping into the role in June 2022 after a 16-year stint at Grant Thornton, Lagerberg has led Baker Tilly through an eventful three years, as those within its network take different routes to securing capital to grow.
