Bahrain in talks to attract crypto firms and investment managers amid Middle East rush

The country’s financial services sector is the largest contributor to its economy outside the oil industry

Bahrain is in discussions with more than 50 financial services providers about setting up a presence in the Middle Eastern country, amid the finance sector’s growing interest in the region.

Almost half of Bahrain’s financial services pipeline of 52 are applicants that will offer crypto or investment management services, according to people familiar with the matter.
