Babcock abandons European IPO

Babcock & Brown, an Australian group seeking to buy assets internationally, has become the second of the country's investment firms this year to cancel a European fund flotation following lack of demand from investors.

Babcock & Brown, which launched the property fund as a joint venture with Australian real estate group The General Property Trust, dropped plans to list the fund on Euronext Amsterdam yesterday.
