UK fund manager Aviva Investors has promoted its head of France to a new Europe-wide role as it seeks to strengthen its footprint on the continent.

Aviva Investors, which is the fund management arm of UK insurer Aviva and has more than €303bn under management, has appointed Jean-Francois Boulier, former chief executive of Aviva Investors France, to the new role of chief executive of Europe.
