Aviva Investors, which is putting together a new £37bn unit investing in property and private-market assets, has recruited a new head for its team of specialist salespeople.

Mark Meiklejon, formerly head of private-market investment specialists at Standard Life Investments, takes up the equivalent role at Aviva’s new operation, known as Aira or Aviva Investors Real Assets.
