Ashurst, the law firm hit last month by departures from its German practice, has hired five partners and nine associates in Frankfurt, London and Milan.

David von Saucken and Matt McDonald have joined as partners in the firm's London restructuring and insolvency group, while Ingo Scholz has joined the Frankfurt team.
