The panic of a cancer diagnosis set in for Aquis Exchange boss Alasdair Haynes only after a second opinion.

The 63-year-old City veteran first got himself checked out in September 2022 after his brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer that July. Haynes didn’t have any symptoms and a preliminary scan in London didn’t reveal any massive risks, so he carried on as normal and booked a trip to France, where he owns a house.
