AP Fonden-2, the Swedish state pensions buffer fund, is to hire up to seven investment houses for global mandates that could be worth several billion dollars.

The fund said it would appoint equities managers early next year for the actively-managed global equity portfolios ranging from $150m (€118m) to $700m apiece.
