Andrea Rossi acts like a proud new homeowner when we meet halfway up the yet-to-be completed 22 Bishopsgate office tower.

The gleaming skyscraper close to Liverpool Street station will become the London headquarters of Axa Investment Managers next year. Emerging from the lift in an excitable mood, Rossi says: “This is going to be the landmark of the City.”
