Ann Robinson, the former head of the National Association of Pension Funds, has joined the board of Almeida Capital, a private equity research and service company, as a non-executive director.

Almeida said that it hoped to leverage Robinson's experience within the pension fund industry to attract more institutional investors, particularly pension funds, to the burgeoning private equity market.
