Alantra’s Italian dealmaking boss laid off as it shifts investment bank model

Alantra has laid off its top dealmaker in Italy as the bank shifts its investment banking model amid a tough time for the sector.

The bank has dismissed Carlo Dawan, executive chair of Alantra Italy, according to an announcement sent to clients seen by Financial News. He has been replaced by Stefano Bellavita, who is currently a managing partner in the country.
