Advent International has launched legal action against the Bulgarian government after it dropped Advent as the preferred bidder for BTC, the Bulgarian state-owned telecoms operator.

The global private equity group said it considered the move by the privatisation supervisory board "invalid", after it had all but signed up to Advent's €260m ($299m) offer.
