Active asset managers are poised for a bright decade as factors that give them a much needed edge over cheap passive rivals are set to return, a report has claimed.

As central banks begin to ease off quantitative easing and volatility returns to markets, stock pickers will start to outshine passive rivals that have eaten away at their market share over the past decade.
