Accenture is rapidly firing staff who can’t be reskilled for AI jobs, leading to thousands of cuts at the consultancy.

The firm spent more than $615m on a “business optimisation programme” in its latest quarter, according to newly published results. This included severance payments for staff where retraining “is not a viable path for the skills it needs”.
