Abrdn hit by £3.1bn of outflows during third quarter

The results are the first since Jason Windsor was appointed Abrdn’s permanent chief executive in September

Abrdn, the UK-listed asset manager, suffered outflows of £3.1bn during the latest quarter, driven by investors pulling money predominantly from its investments business.

Despite the outflows, the Edinburgh-headquartered firm saw assets under management rise 2% to £507bn, buoyed by positive markets and flows into its Interactive Investor division.
