The head of real estate at ABP has quit two days after the Ã¢ÂÂ¬215bn ($316bn) Dutch pension fund divested a portfolio of offices in the Netherlands to Dutch bank ING.

Barden Gale, who was in charge of the fund's â¬19.4bn of property assets, will leave ABP in February to take up a new role as vice-chairman of real estate at property investment company Starwood Capital.
