Abingworth makes first investment in Denmark

Abingworth Management, the life sciences private equity specialist, and Apax Partners have led the €15.2m ($13.6m) investment round in BioImage, a Danish drug discovery company, marking Abingworth's first investment in Denmark.

Apax originally invested in BioImage in 1999, when it was spun out of Novo Nordisk. The other new investor in the financing round was Novo, the Danish venture capital arm of Novo Group, investing in the life sciences sector.
